A native of Vacaville, California, Alan Montgomery is a Greenville-based organist. He has recently completed his Master of Music degree at the Juilliard School in New York, where he studied with Paul Jacobs, Chair of the Organ Department.

He has spent much of his life in the United Kingdom. He attended high school in Lincoln, where he was the Sixth-Form Organ Scholar at Lincoln Cathedral. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Royal College of Music in London, where he studied with David Graham, Sophie-Véronique Cauchefer-Choplin, and Andrew Dewar. While in London, he also served as Organ Scholar of St. Mark’s, Hamilton Terrace and the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Farm Street. In New York, he was the Director of Music at the Church of St. Thomas More on East 89th Street.

Mr. Montgomery maintains an active recital schedule in the United States and in Europe. He has recently performed at venues such as St. Patrick’s Cathedral, New York; The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, New York; St. Gertrude’s Church, Riga; St. Mary’s Cathedral, San Francisco; and Union Chapel, London.

Mr. Montgomery currently serves as Organist and Choirmaster of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Greenville.
