Tuesday, Oct. 4, is the Memorial of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals, the environment, ecologists and merchants.

To commemorate this observance, there will be a Blessing of the Animals held that day on the lawn outside the Upper Church at 2:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Furry, feathery, fluffy, and spikey animal friends of all shapes, kinds and sizes are welcome. All animals must be safely secured or on leashes.
